WE PRESENT Vincent “Vince” Kranz - CGN YOUNGSTARS

WE PRESENT Vincent “Vince” Kranz - CGN YOUNGSTARS

Cologne, Germany - May 1st, 2022 - We are thrilled to announce Vincent “Vince” Kranz as our new Youngstars and we warmly welcome him into the CGN Esports Family.

Ever since the start of CGN Youngstars, it was our ambition to offer a home to the hottest regional prospects. Whenever people talk about the next generation of talents, one name is almost always mentioned. Although he is only 17 years of age many would already consider him experienced. Vince boasts around 100 maps on record and played for organisations such as Cowana, Ovation and IVY.

Vincent “Vince” Kranz had his first VLR victory against the likes of Jady (now NaVi), lyNxi (now Rebels) and Ale (now KOVA) only 8 days after his 16th birthday. At only 17 years of age, he already faced off against the likes of Fnatic, Alliance and BIG, to just name a few.

After his last season with Cowana, Vince decided to look for a new challenge to take his next steps. When CGN became aware of the chance to sign Vince, they quickly realized the perfect timing.
Only a few weeks ago the team decided to split with Eren due to differences concerning ingame philosophies. Since Eren always gave everything for the Youngstars project, CGN tried everything to find a new home for him. So when we managed to transfer him to ESC Gaming in April, it was clear that we wanted to fill that last spot with the biggest talent we could acquire.

After a few conversations with Vince we realized that he wanted to continue his journey to become a professional player. We saw his hunger to compete and his eagerness to learn more about the game. He wants to reach the top, but not at the cost of ruining his academic record.

“I’m very excited to be given this great opportunity to develop my skills as a player without neglecting my school tasks. Being able to receive feedback from professional coaches in an environment that was designed to help young players to grow and improve is exactly what I hoped for. I’m sure we will have a bright future together”.

“Youngstars is a project that tries to enable the best regional talents and form them on their journey of becoming stand out performers, but also responsible adults. Since most of the players join us when they are only 16 or 17 years old, the majority of them still need to finish school. As someone who studied to become a teacher, I always place a great emphasis, not only on the performance the players deliver on the server, but also in school.”

Head of Valorant, Sebastian “Sebe” Kruft

Vince joins as an experienced main controller, but on his journey to improve even further, he will be learning and filling different roles. This is supposed to enhance his game sense and understanding of the game, so that he can reach his highest level.

About VALORANT
VALORANT is a fast-paced competitive & tactical first person shooter, involving two teams of 5 players each. The first team that manages to win 13 in-game rounds, wins. This means that a game of Valorant can take up to 25 rounds. Players can choose their unique in-game characters, which are called agents, at the start of the game and buy different weapons at the start of each round. When a player dies, they will not respawn until the next round starts. This makes VALORANT a game in which even the smallest decision counts: good reaction times, aiming skills and knowledge are all key elements required to master VALORANT on a competitive level.
