WELCOME TO THE REVOLUTION – WELCOME TO THEO OniBy TARLIER

Cologne, Germany – Oct 2nd 2022 – Today we are excited to announce the last piece of the puzzle.

 

As 5th player we are happy to reveal none other than upcoming French star-initiator Theo “OniBy” Tarlier. During the last two months we trialed several players on different roles, such as duelist, sentinel and flex. After this period of trial and error we came to realisation that it would be ideal to find a player who was able to perform consistantly on the hard role of initiator, esp. on Sova and Fade. We trialed many top players but none was able to perform quite as consistantly and adapt as quickly to our playstyle as OniBy.

“OniBy came onto the scene with a bang. After some ups and downs in OG, he managed to prove his skill on several roles, especially the initiator role. During the trials he has proven that he can adapt to our style and that he believes in our philosophy. Because he had to fill last season on a new role,  I believe that a lot of teams have forgotten how strong he actually is.” 

OniBy burst onto the scene back early 2021, when he played around other former Overwatch stars (TviQ, unKOE, aKm). Under the code-name “Monkey-Business” they turned heads with a strong VCT tournament with clean wins against Guild and Vitality. The team signed for OG and played in the French VRL. 

The synergy he had with the other players was no surprise, as he is the younger player of former Overwatch-star and now CGN Valorant player Terence “SoOn” Tarlier. The two of them talked a lot about how we like to play, which helped OniBy to get familiar with our style.

“I’m excited to show my skill in a new team and a new region. Together with my brother I want to show the DACH scene and the French scene, that we are dangerous”.

“I suggested my brother as the final player for our team. All I care about is winning, so I might be even more critical with my brothers performance than with others. I am very happy to have him on board because I know he is someone I can rely on, someone who can perform under pressure and who always gives everything to win”.

The new CGN roster will take part in the VRL DACH Unity Split, the Coupe the France, as well as the Redbull Homeground Qualifier and the famous annual Lyon LAN.

About VALORANT

VALORANT is a fast-paced competitive & tactical first person shooter, involving two teams of 5 players each. The first team that manages to win 13 in-game rounds, wins. This means that a game of Valorant can take up to 25 rounds. Players can choose their unique in-game characters, which are called agents, at the start of the game and buy different weapons at the start of each round. When a player dies, they will not respawn until the next round starts. This makes VALORANT a game in which even the smallest decision counts: good reaction times, aiming skills and knowledge are all key elements required to master VALORANT on a competitive level.
